It’s Lowe’s old branding, I know…but it worked so well! I have been doing a little research on free things to do with some of the neighborhood kids. Louis and I don’t have kids of our own, so I don’t come with a bag of tricks up my sleeve. So, thankfully the internet is FULL of great info. So, Saturday, CJ, Deshawn, Larry, Elijah and I went to Lowe’s Home Improvement’s Build and Grow Clinic and built a bi-plane! We had a BLAST! They do these twice a month, so let me know if you would like to take some of the kids in June! The next 2 consist of…
6.11 Goofy Golf
6.25 Waving Flag
While you are there, you can pick up some of your home improvement supplies! Make it doubly worth the trip! Thanks, Lowe’s!

We had a WONDERFUL time today partnering with U-Turn and Commonwealth Chapel this afternoon to reach out to the kids of Southern Barton Heights!!! Over 20 kids signed up for the upcoming Saturday morning events. Each Saturday the kids will be scooped up to be taken to U-Turn to play sports for a couple of hours. In addition, they will be fed…both physically with a snack AND spiritually with the Word of God.
Thanks to the Commonwealth Chapel Missional Communities and to U-Turn for killer partnership!!! You guys are the BEST!!! May you be blessed for the sacrifice of your time and love!!! Louis and I look forward to partnering more in the future! Even more…I’m looking to see what the Lord will do with this time! To God be the Glory!

I just love my neighborhood kids aka Miss Marti’s Kids (m2k)! After a long and crazy day, it was good to just sit outside and chill with some of them as they played with Wesley in the front yard. Louis and I probably love our Front Porch ministry more than anything else…except maybe the Fire Pit Ministry! 🙂 You can read more about that in A View from the Porch post from 3.11.2010.
