¹ “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

² “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. ³ But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, ⁴ so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Although I don’t always succeed, it is my heart’s desire to glorify God and God alone when I write or speak about God’s mission we are on. I also want to encourage others to live on mission with God in their everyday walk around lives. I write to testify to God’s faithfulness, His goodness, His hope, love, mercy and grace.

After receiving an email from Epoch Awards today, I thought I would share part of it with you.

Although I will receive my reward in heaven one day, this goes a long way in encouraging us to ‘keep at it’ here on earth…even when things are challenging, the attacks come, and we feel like we are in Satan’s crosshairs.  I am grateful for the reminder that God is in control; and I just need to trust him.
