Incarnation

Word became flesh…and moved into the neighborhood. John 1:14 (MSG)  

For me…that’s the story of Christmas.  God becoming flesh and blood, and relocating to the neighborhood.  Thanks, Jesus, for giving up heaven to come to this sinful world.  Why???  To glorify God.  Jesus said the following in Luke 4:18-19 NIV

¹⁸ “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. 
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, 
to set the oppressed free, ¹⁹ to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
